In 2020, Probos and partners developed Thémis, the timber market survey, to monitor the sourcing of timber traders in Europe. Since then, the tool has undergone many improvements and has seen its user base increase to currently six participating European timber federations and their members. They can monitor their year-on-year sustainability performance through interactive dashboards and reports. The tool is in continuous development, and we are excited to now present the first Thémis infographic to you!

Every year, the Probos Foundation produces an overview of the production, import, export and consumption of wood and timber products in the Netherlands, on behalf of the Ministry of Agriculture, Nature and Food Quality. The results have already been published on bosenhoutcijfers.nl (Dutch only). From now on, a concise publication will also be published annually containing the most important figures. You can download the first version here.
