Poster: 'Short Rotation Coppice (SRC) in the Netherlands'

Probos, together with Staatsbosbeheer and Shell, has realised a total of 45 hectares of energy plantations in the context of the Flevo Energy Wood Project between the cities of Lelystad and Almere. These are a type of modern osieries that are harvested approximately every two to three years. In recent years, both biomass production and biodiversity have been studied on the plantations. Software Woodstock

Woodstock is a forest inventory method developed by the Probos Foundation and Silve. The purpose of this forest inventory system is to collect data on which estimates of key forest figures at company or management unit level are based. These key figures (stem density, standing stock, gross annual increment) are estimated to support medium-term management planning.
